What To Do As Justice Department Made It Easier To Deport DACA Recipients

Here you go, via 'Official State Media'.

Dear DACA recipients and their USA citizen loved ones and supporters,

1. Get an Immigration Attorney. It may cost +/- $20,000. DACA lives are worth it.

2. Get married already! This will make DACA recipients harder to deport. I know you delayed marriage because it doesn't make one a USA citizen automatically. Get married. Period.

3. Collect your historical photos to show how truly, honestly, and with longevity, you've been a part of the USA. You only know the USA. Your friends, loved ones, school cohort, co-workers are all here. Gather photo documentation.

4. Get letters of support. People love you, respect you, grew up with you, went to school with you all of your life. Don't be afraid: Ask these people to vouch for you! Show them the below sample I wrote for a DACA recipient on 4/27/2026, identifying information redacted.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Jennifer Lee Lawson. I am writing in support of citizenship of the United States of America for [REDACTED].

I have known [REDACTED] for about 10 years. He is such an intelligent, kind, funny, and thoughtful person that it inspired me to organize a rally for DACA and TPS in Orlando, Florida several years ago. This nation-wide rally was entirely peaceful and within the law.

[REDACTED] is a hard worker. Through his work, he contributes to the betterment of the USA economy.

[REDACTED] love each other—and they have for many years. [REDACTED] comes to Christmas, Easter,  the 4th of July, and other family events. We love [REDACTED] as family.

[REDACTED] is a law-abiding person. He is definitely not involved in any criminal activity.

I am an American Revolutionary War descendant. As such, I am able to welcome immigrants at swearing-in ceremonies for the USA. There is no better person I'd nominate to be one of us than [REDACTED]

Thank you for your time,

Jennifer Lee Lawson, MA
